Magnesium dies
Magnesium dies are an indispensable tool for embossing and foil stamping. Dies are also necessary for leather embossing and pyrography. Folger’s graphics shop makes magnesium dies according to your needs.
Our dies are made from 2 mm, 3 mm or 7 mm magnesium plates. The maximum surface area of a die is 500 x 650 mm.
We offer:
Hotfoil/debossing dies:
- 2 mm dies with an etching depth of 0.8–1.0 mm
- 2 mm dies with an etching depth of 1.2–1.4 mm
- 3 mm dies with an etching depth of 1.2–1.4 mm
- 3 mm dies with an etching depth of 2.0–2.5 mm
- 7 mm dies with an etching depth of 1.2–1.4 mm
- 7 mm dies with an etching depth of 2.0–2.5 mm
- 7 mm dies with an etching depth of 3.0–3.5 mm
Embossing dies, 2 or 3 mm:
- Embossing dies, standard (etching depth 0.3–0.5 mm)
- Embossing dies, special etching (etching depth 0.3–0.5 mm)
- Embossing dies with polymer counter-plate
Custom order dies:
- 2, 3 or 7 mm dies, etching and other processing according to the customer’s wishes. Ask for a quote!

For embossing, you can order an embossing dies. Embossing dies raise the image above the surface of the material. To ensure quality results, we recommend using dies with a polymer counter-plate.

Design file requirements:
- designs must be black and white vector graphics
- for a best quality of the die, we need a vector graphics PDF file, wherein the colour of the foil stamping surface is K-100% (avoid using other colours in the die file), the text is converted to curves and the line thickness is at least 0.15 mm.
- suitable file formats are PDF, CDR, AI, EPS
